It’s been a little odd around our house since our son graduated high school last May. After a carefree summer of staying up and sleeping in just a little bit later, I know I usually look forward to school starting again and getting back on a schedule. But, that didn’t happened this year. School started for the city, but we’re still staying up late. I know it’s hardest on my husband who still has to get up and go to work, as he gently reminds me. I don’t have to nag about homework anymore and I feel like I’m in a constant state of summer vacation. And let me tell you, it’s good. Really, really good.
But now, after waiting for my sewing machine to be repaired, and although I’m still staying up later than I should, I’m starting to get back in the swing of things. Inspired by this scarf I made a couple years ago, I kept visualizing it bigger, as a blanket, tucked in around baby legs in a car seat.
Nice and soft, and not too bulky. I’m really loving it!
