Trying out an idea for New Year’s cards…
I cut 2″ square pieces of various scrapbook papers.
Flocked, embossed metallic, glittered
as well as several black and white patterned paper.
Adhered them to card stock with photo mount squares.
Then zig-zagged them in place on the sewing machine.
I used a gray that I had on hand, but I may switch to either a
metallic or silk thread. Something with more sheen.
I still need to layer a cut-out that will say
“Happy New Year” embossed in silver on the front.
I haven’t sent cards, literally, in YEARS. Best part is, by sending
“New Year’s” cards, I don’t have to address them ’til AFTER Christmas!
